It's time! Alex and I are headed out... good bye Seattle, hello Phoenix! Well, not quite that fast (although I wish!). On Monday the 17th, we rented a Penske truck. We reserved a 12' truck... but Penske screwed up and they didn't have a 12' available, so they gave us a 16'... and not only that, but since they screwed up they gave us a discount off the 12' price! Jackpot! Alex and I packed up my stuff and he drove it down to Seattle and left me his car in Everett. We decided not to take my old Infiniti to Phoenix because well... it was DEAD! Alex's brother helped us on our journey down (thank goodness). Anyway, our itinerary happened as follows...
Day 1 - drive for 12 hours with two stops in Oregon (First stop, lunch with Alex's Grandpa. Second stop, Starbucks with Alex's aunt). Stop at Redding and rent a room for the night.
Day 2 - Drive to Palm Springs. Stay at a friend of Alex's. RELAX.
Day 3 - Only four hours from Palm Springs to Phoenix! We left after a late breakfast and got to Phoenix in the late afternoon. It's hot, bah!
Leaving the rain behind us and headed towards the sunny South!
